Re: Settings

I agree with Walrus. "Graphics quality" doesn't look that great imo, but texture quality is important.

Re: Mirror's Edge Any%: Relay Race

As of May 25: the tentative date is June 21st, a Sunday. Anybody that would like to participate needs to message me. To keep things fair-ish, we are strongly encouraging only those with a sub-40 no-loads to apply. Thanks.

Re: Glitchless Beginner's Tutorial? (help wanted)

I'd be willing. I could also do a commentary of Alexander's world record, if you'd like, since I'm pretty knowledgeable about the category. I'll do whatever, especially if it makes glitchless more popular!

This way, more casual speedrunners can sit and watch the whole video, whi...

Re: Fun with reaction time

Okay, this kind of relates: I watched a video of someone's PB for 40 minutes at 2x speed. When I went to play Mirror's Edge (at normal speed obviously), my brain went to crap. Everything seemed extremely laggy and slow, I got a little motion sick, and it was an overall weird experience.

Re: FAQ

The glitchless rules also include no phasing through objects (nulaft skip nerf mainly) and the kickglitch extends to jumping after any animation off air as far as I can recall.. We've always been able to phase through the vent in the room after the death abuse in Chapter 7, so that's kind of an inc...

Re: All general ME tricks

Building off what Arie said, many of the climbing animations in this game can only be done while holding W. If you approach a wall and simply jump while holding W, you won't always get the fastest climb. This is because Faith will just do the climbing animation at a lower point in her jump since W i...

Re: Possible Atrium Strat

That's a good idea, never thought of that. Unless it is a lot harder than it looks, I'll probably start doing that! :D

UPDATE: It's harder than it looks.
