Enemy locking removal

Enemy locking removal

I know its a little far fetched, but we all hate the enemy lock on in Mirror's Edge, especially during a good run. So I was wondering if we could vote to take the mechanic out of the games files so we wouldnt have to deal with it any longer.

I may be wrong, but...

I think if you connect an Xbox 360 controller to your PC, that will prevent enemy lock from happening.

For what it's worth, I disagree. Speedrunning is about playing the game that you've got and the risk/reward decisions that come with that. If you're going to fix that, then there's a precedent for removing every slow/boring/annoying thing in the game and you end up running something very different to the original game.

I think we'd be better off investigating the preconditions for locking and then working out ways to avoid it.

I also completely agree, I hate when a guard gets in my way in a speedrun because they come out of nowhere, such as:
-While doing beverage skip
-While in the menu
-While sat on the toilet
-On the bus
It's not like the guards are in the same place and you can move fast past them if you judge the situation correctly or anything... oh wait it is
