Fall Distance Reset Question

Post by AxeZ0N » Wed Sep 03, 2014 2:54 am

Hey, quick question, does anyone know, or know how to explain the optimal time to kick to not get a heavy landing? Seems to me like if you kick closer to the ground you take more damage and it takes longer to recover.

Afaik there is no shorter or longer fall recovery. It's just a question of too early or too late. If you kick in the right time frame you will always have the same outcome.

Perhaps a little late for a reply, but Chillmastor is wrong. If you kick early so that you land right at the end of the animation then you will be able to sidejump boost straight away compared with hitting the ground at some point during the animation because the rest of the kick animation must be carried out whilst you are on the ground, causing you to have to wait before being able to sidejump boost again.

That does seem to be more of what happens to me, the difference is probabaly too tiny to even notice, though.

No, it does not. The timing has already been explained by other people, but it will only take longer to recover if you are holding a weapon, even just a pistol
