Every Resource You May Ever Need

Post by Blackbeltginganinja » Fri Aug 08, 2014 8:47 pm

Ninja here,

I'm attempting to compile a list of every Pastebin, plugin, and resource you might ever need for Mirror's Edge speedrunning. Hope this helps.

Timer: Livesplit
It is HIGHLY recommended that every Single Segment runner of this game, regardless of category, use Livesplit. This is because the No-Loads plugin for Mirror's Edge only works on Livesplit.

Plugin if you need it which you shouldn't: MENL
This plugin removes loads. We highly recommend using this plugin; this method for timing is better for the community as a whole.
PLEASE NOTE: You should not have to download this plugin externally anymore unless you are on an older version of Livesplit. There should be an option in the Livesplit menu to download Load Removal, under "Edit Splits." To access this load removal, set your game to "Mirror's Edge," NOT "Mirror's Edge (PC)."

Autosplit Program: Get it here!
Any% Autosplit Livesplit File
Glitchless Autosplit Livesplit File
100% Autosplit Livesplit File

100% Bag Guide
"Any% Glitchless" Rules
"Any% True Glitchless" Rules
All Known "Console Commands" For Mirror's Edge

100% Savefile - This savefile has collected none of the bags, but has gotten rid of the tutorial pop-ups in Prolouge and Chapter 1. Rename the file to [yourname].dat

Trainer: Download it here
Backup Link: Also download here!

Program that shows keyboard inputs on stream: NohBoard
I also made a simple NohBoard layout for Mirror's Edge. Click here to download it.

Program that forces Mirror's Edge into Windowed Mode: DxWnd
(I would recommend using the keybinds, it is a better way to force ME into windowed mode)

Program that lets you edit in-game textures: Texmod
A more in-depth tutorial on texture-editing in Mirror's Edge can be found here.
You can find an example of my glove/shoe texture here.

Old Autosplit Program (that nobody should use but I will include just in case): Download it here (Works on Livesplit 1.3 and below)

A file I made for 100%, no bags are collected but it has the tutorial popups in the prologue and ch1 won't appear (except for the one when you pick up the first bag).

A file I have to fix updating livesplit and losing your second timer! (The no loads one) Just make sure to download layout1 and then open ur splits with that layout. However, if you delete the "Mirror's Edge" in the layout editor, you need to re-download the file. If you want to change the background color of the timer, just change this setting: http://prntscr.com/5bs90r . You might need to change it to the same color twice for it to work though. Here is the file link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing

Here is a link to the mod that shortens the truck ride at the start of The Boat (Chapter 7)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/meoph1ah4q4as ... d.rar?dl=0

NOTE This is only to be used in chapter runs, Remember to remove it if you are doing a single segment run. (and make a backup of the original)

Place this file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mirrors edge\TdGame\CookedPC\Maps\SP07
